Broccoli Salad

A recent find of Anna's, and it has become one of her favorites. She makes this for most parties and get-togethers now. There are almost always no leftovers.


3 bunches fresh broccoli
1 - 2 lbs white grapes
1 cup sunflower seeds
3/4 finely chopped bacon
1 1/2 mayonnaise (Helman's)
2/3 cup sugar
4 tbls white vinegar

Cut up the broccoli flowerets and the tender parts of the stem into bite size pieces. Slice the grapes in half.

Mix the mayonnaise, sugar,and vinegar together in a bowl. Mix well.

Put the broccoli, grapes, sunflower seeds, and bacon in a large bowl. Mix well. Add the mayonnaise dressing mixture. Stir well to combine. Place the salad in the refrigerator until cool. Serve chilled.
