Mom's Slow Cooker Five Bean Pot

This was a popular potluck dish that Mom often tool to parties. It usually got good reviews, even if not one of my favorites. Best of all, it took little prep work.

1 can pork and beans
1 can kidney beans
1 can great nothern beans
1 can pinto beans
1 can green butter beans
1/2 lb bacon, cut up

1 medium onion, chopped
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup vinegar
garlci powder, to taste
salt and black pepper, to taste

Combine all the ingredients in a slow cooker, and cook on Low for 2 - 3 hours. Stir gently every hour, or so. You do not want the beans to cook long enough to start breaking down. Keep warm in the cooker, and serve.

Cliff Note: All the cans were normal 14.5 or 15 once size.
