Chocolate Sheet Cake

This was one of mom's favorite cake recipes, and it's one of Anna's too. Anna makes this cake more often than anyother. Pouring the hot icing over the hot cake makes this recipe different, and better, than other cakes.

2 cup flour
2 cup sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup margerine
1/2 cup shortening
 1/2 cup buttermilk
1 cup water
3 tbls chocolate
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla
Combine the flour, sugar and salt; and set aside.

Combine the margerine, shortening, water and chocolate in saucepan and heat to boil. Pour this liquid over the flour mixture, and combine. Beat together the eggs, soda, buttermilk and vanilla and add to mixture.

Bake at 350 for 20". Cover the hot cake with the Sheet Cake Icing.
