Mom's Baked Beans

I believe that this is Mom's original recipe. I am still looking for the hand-written version that she gave me years ago.


2 large cans of Pork & Beans
1 lb regular sausage, browned & chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
1/2 large onion, chopped
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tbls yellow mustard
salt, to taste
black pepper, to taste

Combine all ingredients, mix well. Bake in oven proof dish at 350 degrees for 1 hour, gently stirring once or twice.

Cliff Note: Sometimes, I know, she added a few tablespoons of catchup too.
