Line a baking sheet or sheet pan with waxed paper.
Heat the corn syrup and sugar in a saucepan over
medium heat. When hot, stir in butter and peanut
butter until thoroughly mixed, and remove the pan
from heat.
Mix the corn flakes and Rice Krispies in a large
heat-restraint bowl, then pour the peanut butter
mixture over the cereal. Stirring until the cereal
is well coated with the mixture. Drop by tablespoon
onto the waxed paper; flatten slightly if desired.
Allow to cool before serving.
Options: Add a little shreaded coconut,
chopped nuts, or a couple of tablespoons of cocoa
powder.
